Exposure offers the possibility to setup a point ranking system for series, circuits or seasons. The idea is to have the same teams play in multiple events and earn points on how they do in those events. Check out the point ranking rules article for available rules. Below you will find steps on how to setup a point ranking system for your organization.

Setup
Setup involves setting up a ranking system, organization, season, season divisions and adding events to the season with event divisions and teams.
1. Team Setup
Event teams are treated as different teams in events if not linked with a parent Team ID. The parent Team ID tells us which teams are the same for a season. The best way to handle this is to use us for registration and enable Account Registration but there are other ways to link teams and can be found on the Team Linking article. This can be done with anonymous registration or importing if the parent Team ID is used.
Note: If you are importing teams and divisions, you can also import the division seasons and those will be assigned to the team and division itself, if they match the ones currently in the system. You should also import the Team ID for the team so teams are linked. To get the Team ID for next events, export teams and choose the Import Template from the first event which will contain this Team ID. This option should be used if you aren't using us for registration.
2. Rankings Setup
First setup your ranking rules that your seasons, series or circuits will use.
- Add Rankings (Settings in side menu -> Rankings in side menu -> Add Rankings button)
- Complete the fields and rules and click Save button.
3. Organization Setup
A season is tied to an organization. If an organization isn't available yet then one needs to be created before a season is created.
- Add Organization (Events in side menu -> Organizations in side menu -> Add Organization button)
- Complete the fields and rules and click Save button.
4. Season Setup
Create a season if one doesn't exist already and assign it to the organization. Season divisions are tied only to the season and can be assigned to event divisions and teams.
- Add or Update Season (Events in side menu -> Seasons in side menu -> Add Season button)
- Complete fields, assign Ranking, and click Save button.
5. Season Division Setup
Rankings are grouped by seasonal divisions and need to be created within the season and assigned to each division in an event. Follow the steps below to create seasonal divisions.
- Navigate To Season Details page (Events in side menu -> Seasons in side menu -> Click Season name)
- Click Divisions in side menu
- Click + Division button
6. Event Setup
With the season and rankings setup, the season will need to be assigned to the events in this season, series or circuit.
- Add or Update Event (Events in side menu -> Click Event Name)
- Choose the Organization which will show the season
- Choose the Season (one that has the rankings)
- Click Save button
7. Division Setup
With the Season Divisions and Event created, we can assign the seasonal divisions to the Event Divisions which could have different names. Example: 17U/16U Boys could be an event division with a 17U Boys season division for play up purposes for 16U Boys season division assigned to the 16U teams.
- Navigate To Division Details page (Events in side menu -> Click Event Name -> Divisions in side menu -> Click Division name)
- Add or Update Season Division to Event Division
Processing
Rankings process each night for the previous day and rankings will reflect those changes that day. However, if an immediate update is needed you can force the rankings to process from the Season Details page by clicking the Process button near Rankings.
Display
Rankings can display to the public in a few ways.
- Event Website (Rankings in menu will open up the Season view)
- Season Widget (Events -> Click Seasons in side menu -> Click Season Name -> Widgets button)
