Point Ranking Rules

This information is unrelated to AAU Rankings. For information pertaining to AAU Rankings, please consult the AAU Girl's Rankings (Event Director) section.

Exposure offers a number of criteria to earn points during a season, series or circuit.  These can be assigned a value and earned by the teams performance during the events in that season, series or circuit.  Below are the rules we offer.

• Wins - any game win
• Losses - any game loss
• Tie - any game tie
• Pool Play Wins - a pool play game win
• Pool Play Loss - a pool play game loss
• Pool Play Tie - a pool play game tie
• Bracket Win - a bracket game win
• Bracket Loss - a bracket game loss
• Championship Bracket Win - any bracket game win that is marked as championship
• Championship Bracket Loss - any bracket game loss that is marked as championship
• Consolation Bracket Win - any bracket game win that is marked as consolation
• Consolation Bracket Loss - any bracket game loss that is marked as consolation
• Championship Game Win - a championship round bracket game win
• Championship Game Loss - a championship round bracket game loss
• Semifinal Game Win - a semifinal round bracket game win
• Semifinal Game Loss - a semifinal found bracket game loss
• Quarterfinal Game Win - a quarterfinal bracket game win
• Quarterfinal Game Loss - a quarterfinal bracket game loss
• Exhibition Win - an exhibition game win
• Exhibition Loss - an exhibition game loss
• Exhibition Tie - an exhibition game tie
• Forfeit - a forfeited game

We are also looking into custom point systems specific to an organization and would involve an estimate to integrate into the system. We are also open to adding new rules if they make sense.

Bracket Game Type

Games within a bracket can be marked as Championship or Consolation.   All games within a bracket can be marked as such or individually.

All Games

If all games within a bracket need to be marked as Championship or Consolation this is the best approach since the other way is doing each game individually.

1. Go to Events and click Event Name
2. Click Brackets in side menu and click Bracket Name
3. Update Game Type dropdown
4. Click Save button

Note: You can override individual games within the bracket by following the next section

Individual Games

If the Championship and Consolation games are within the same bracket then this will be the best approach.  You can however do the approach above if most of the games are a certain type and then override specific games to the other type.

1. Go to Events and click Event Name
2. Click Brackets in side menu, click Bracket Name, click Builder button
3. Hover over game to update and click Gear icon

Bracket Round Type

Bracket games can be marked by a specific round like Championship, Semifinal or Quarterfinal.  This can be done individually within the bracket.

1. Go to Events and click Event Name
2. Click Brackets in side menu, click Bracket Name, click Builder button
3. Hover over game to update and click Gear icon
