Exposure Events can connect directly with AI assistants including Claude by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI. Once connected, you can ask questions about your Exposure Events seasons, events, teams, rosters, schedules, and rankings directly from your AI assistant.

The Exposure Events AI connector is currently read-only. Claude and ChatGPT can retrieve supported information from Exposure Events, but they cannot create, edit, update, or delete information in your account.

Connect Exposure to Claude & ChatGPT

Once connected, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT about your events, teams, schedules, and rankings directly — no report screens to dig through. This is the manual setup, available today.

Exposure isn't in Claude's or ChatGPT's official connector directory yet — that review can take a while. Until then, anyone can connect using the steps below; nothing here requires waiting on that approval.

Connect with Claude

Works on any Claude.ai plan — no special settings to turn on first.

Before you start: have your Exposure director username and password ready — you'll sign in with your real Exposure account, the same one you already use.

1. Open Settings → Customize → Connectors

In Claude.ai, click the toolbox icon in the sidebar, then Customize, then Connectors.

2. Click "Connectors" in side menu, and click + Add custom connector

Enter a name (e.g. Exposure Events) and the Server URL: https://mcp.exposureevents.com.

3. Click "Continue", if successful click "Add" button

Leave the OAuth Client ID field blank — Claude registers itself automatically. You shouldn't need to type anything here.

Note: If this ever fails and asks for a Client ID by hand, contact Exposure support for one rather than guessing.

4. Click "Connect" and Sign in with your Exposure account

You'll be taken to Exposure's own login page. Enter your real director username and password.

5. Review and approve access

You'll see exactly what Claude is asking permission for. Click Allow to finish connecting.

Connect with ChatGPT

Requires a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu) — free accounts can't add custom connectors.

Before you start: same as Claude - have your real Exposure director username and password ready.

1. Turn on Developer Mode

Settings → Security and login → scroll down to the "Developer mode" section → toggle Developer mode on. Then start a brand-new chat — the option won't show up in an existing conversation.

2. Go to Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins

Look for an option there to add/create a custom connector, then enter a name (e.g. Exposure Events) and the Connection URL: https://mcp.exposureevents.com. Set Authentication to OAuth. ChatGPT shows a standard warning for any custom (not yet verified) connector — check the box and continue.
 

3. Open Advanced OAuth settings

Under Registration method, choose Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) if it's selectable, and leave the Client ID field blank. 

Note: If DCR shows as unavailable, contact Exposure support for a Client ID to enter manually instead of guessing one.

4. Click Create and Sign in and approve access

Same as Claude - you'll land on Exposure's real login page, sign in, then approve the requested access.
