Using Exposure Events with Claude and ChatGPT

Exposure Events integrates with AI assistants including Claude by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI, allowing authorized users to securely access Exposure Events information directly from a conversation.

After connecting your Exposure Events account, you can ask Claude or ChatGPT questions about your seasons, events, teams, rosters, schedules, and rankings.

The Exposure Events AI connector is currently read-only. Claude and ChatGPT can retrieve supported Exposure Events information, but they cannot create, edit, update, or delete information in your Exposure Events account.
 

What Information Can Claude and ChatGPT Access?

The Exposure Events connector currently supports the following capabilities:

Seasons

Retrieve seasons associated with your Exposure Events account.

Examples:

• "Show me my seasons."
• "What seasons are available?"
• "Show me the current basketball season."

Events

Retrieve upcoming and active events for a selected season.

Examples:

• "Show me my upcoming events."
• "What events do I have this season?"
• "Find my active events."

Teams

Retrieve teams registered for an event.

Examples:

• "Show me the teams registered for this event."
• "How many teams are in this tournament?"
• "List the teams participating in this event."

Team Rosters

Retrieve information about an individual team, including its roster.

Examples:

• "Show me the roster for this team."
• "Who is on this team's roster?"
• "Get the team information for this team."

Schedules

Retrieve the game schedule for an event.

Examples:

• "Show me the schedule for this event."
• "What games are scheduled today?"
• "When does this team play?"
• "What games are on the schedule this weekend?"

Rankings

Retrieve rankings for a season, with the option to filter rankings by division.

Examples:

• "Show me the rankings for this season."
• "Show me the 17U Boys rankings."
• "Who are the top-ranked teams in this division?"
• "Show me the rankings for this division."

Available Exposure Events Connector Tools

The Exposure Events connector currently provides six read-only tools:

These capabilities may expand as Exposure Events continues developing its AI integrations.

Read-Only Access

The Exposure Events connector is currently read-only.

This means Claude and ChatGPT can retrieve supported information from Exposure Events but cannot modify your Exposure Events account.

The connector cannot currently:

• Create events
• Edit events
• Add or remove teams
• Modify team rosters
• Create or modify schedules
• Enter or change scores
• Modify rankings
• Delete Exposure Events information

Any changes to your Exposure Events account must currently be made directly through Exposure Events.

Connect Exposure Events to Claude

Exposure Events can be connected to Claude using the Exposure Events connector.

1. Sign in to Claude.
2. Open the area for Connectors.
3. Find Exposure Events.
4. Choose Connect.
5. Sign in to your Exposure Events account when prompted.
6. Authorize Claude to access the supported Exposure Events information.
7. Return to Claude and begin asking questions about your Exposure Events account.

Connector availability may depend on your Claude plan and your organization's administrator settings.

Connect Exposure Events to ChatGPT

Exposure Events can also be connected to ChatGPT where the Exposure Events integration is available.

1. Sign in to ChatGPT.
2. Find Exposure Events in the available integrations.
3. Choose the option to connect Exposure Events.
4. Sign in to your Exposure Events account when prompted.
5. Authorize access to the supported Exposure Events information.
6. Return to ChatGPT and begin asking questions about your Exposure Events account.

Availability may depend on your ChatGPT plan and workspace settings.

Authentication and Security

Exposure Events uses OAuth 2.0 to authorize access to the connector.

When connecting Exposure Events to Claude or ChatGPT, you authenticate with Exposure Events and authorize the AI platform to access supported Exposure Events information on your behalf.

Exposure Events uses Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) as part of its MCP authentication implementation.

The connector does not provide write access to Exposure Events data.

Account Permissions

The Exposure Events connector accesses information on behalf of the authenticated Exposure Events user.

The information available through Claude or ChatGPT is determined by the Exposure Events account used to authorize the connection and the information available to that account.

If information you expect to see is unavailable, first verify that you are signed in using the correct Exposure Events account.

Example Questions

Once Exposure Events is connected, you can communicate naturally with Claude or ChatGPT.

• "Show me my seasons."
• "What events do I have coming up?"
• "Show me the active events for this season."

Teams

• "Show me all teams registered for this event."
• "How many teams are registered?"
• "Show me the roster for this team."

Schedules

• "Show me the game schedule for this tournament."
• "When does this team play?"
• "What games are scheduled for Saturday?"

Rankings

• "Show me the rankings for this season."
• "Show me the rankings for the 17U division."
• "Who are the top five teams in this division?"

You can also ask follow-up questions. For example:

"Show me my events this season."

Then:

"Show me the teams in the second event."

And then:

"Show me the schedule for that event."

Claude or ChatGPT can use the appropriate Exposure Events tools to retrieve the requested information.

Troubleshooting

I Can't Find One of My Events

Make sure you connected the correct Exposure Events account and that the event is available to that account.

The events tool retrieves upcoming and active events associated with the selected season.

I Can't Find a Team

First make sure the correct event has been selected. The connector retrieves teams registered for a specific event.

I Can't See a Team Roster

Verify that the team can be retrieved through the event and that roster information is available for that team in Exposure Events.

I Can't Find a Schedule

Schedules are retrieved for a specific Exposure Events event. Make sure the correct event is being referenced.

I Can't Find Rankings

Rankings are retrieved by season and can optionally be filtered by division.

Try specifying the season and division more clearly in your request.

For example:

"Show me the 17U Boys rankings for the 2026 season."

Claude or ChatGPT Is Trying to Change Something

The Exposure Events connector is currently read-only.

If you ask Claude or ChatGPT to modify an event, team, roster, schedule, score, ranking, or other Exposure Events information, the connector will not be able to make that change.

Make the change directly through Exposure Events instead.

My Connection Is No Longer Working

If your authorization has expired or the connection is no longer working, disconnect Exposure Events from the AI platform and connect it again.

I Connected the Wrong Exposure Events Account

Disconnect Exposure Events and reconnect using the Exposure Events account you want to use.

Privacy

Access to Exposure Events through Claude or ChatGPT is subject to the permissions and authorization associated with the connected Exposure Events account.

Use of Exposure Events remains subject to the Exposure Events Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Use of Claude is also subject to Anthropic's applicable terms and privacy policies.

Use of ChatGPT is also subject to OpenAI's applicable terms and privacy policies.
