Exposure offers the ability to purchase gate fees online and send a barcode that can be scanned at a gate entry. The details on how the barcode is scanned and what happens afterwards will be determined by the organization running the event. From a high level the event director should try to achieve these main objectives. You can watch this demo video to see the entire process.
- Wifi or Phone internet
- Barcode scanner (Phone or Tablet (Recommended), Desktop, Laptop)
- Scan barcode and view authorized or denied confirmation in web browser

Scan Barcode
The barcode is known as a QR code and there are many devices that can scan a QR code. Below is a QR code that is emailed within the payment receipt.
The QR code once scanned will open to a web page on Exposure to redeem all or specific tickets. Below you will find an example of a scanned purchase. The gate keeper can verify the quantity of attendees that need access. If the gate keeper needs more information on the payment, they can click the Details button.
Tag Attendee
If a ticket is redeemed then it's up to the event director on how to give the attendees access to the facilities. The most common practice are wristbands given to the attendee, which can be color coded if it's for specific days.
Gate User
Exposure offers a role of Gate under Users. This will provide a username and password to login to Exposure for the person working the gate to verify barcodes. The gate keeper must be logged into their account to verify status of a person's barcode. An event director can also use their account if necessary. The Gate user has the following benefits under their account below.

Gate Fees
Gate Prices can be created under the Prices section on an event with a Price Type of Gate. After doing this users can make payments from the Payments page on the event and will receive a receipt with the barcode in it to be scanned at a gate.
