Below you will find answers to many scenarios in regards to venues and their locations and how to handle them.
Custom Court, Field, Rink Name
By default we offer predefined names for courts, fields and rinks. However you can create custom location names also.
Under your global venues you can update your court, field, or rink name for the entire venue for all future events by choosing - New - in the dropdown of the court, field or rink. If the name won't change per event this is the best way to handle this.
If the name of the court, field, or rink changes per event, then handle this on the event level under Event Venues or during Schedule Grid creation.
Different Time Increments
If the venue or location (court, field, or rink) have different time increments, maybe for age groups, these can be set from the Global Venues section as a default value per venue or location.
If these change per event, then do these under the Event Venues or on Schedule Grid creation.
Even after the Schedule Grid is created you can add different rows with the + Time button.
Different Start and Last Game Times
If the venue or location (court, field, or rink) have different start or last game times then they can be set under the Schedule section before grid creation or under Event Venues. Once the schedule grid is created these values are only used for new dates and don't modify an existing grid in place.
Even after the Schedule Grid is created you can add different rows with the + Time button.
Hiding Locations (Courts, Fields, Rinks)
Sometimes a location at a venue may not be in use for an event. After adding the Venue on the Event Venues or Schedule Grid creation, you have the ability to show Courts and set the location as inactive by clicking Courts on the Venue. This will hide the location on the grid and venues on the public side.
Venue Map Coordinates (Directions)
Sometimes the coordinates we fetch from Google are inadequate for where you want the actual location for directions and map views This is most likely an issue with an incorrect address that was inputted for the venue. However, you can override the coordinates under the venue.
- Click Venues in side menu
- Click Venue Name
- Click on Map or click Overwrite button and manually input coordinates (Coordinates Lookup)
- Click Save
