Pools troubleshooting

If your pools aren't visible or the date, time and location aren't visible it could be because of visibility options.

Pools Hidden


If pools are hidden from the public it could be one of the following reasons:
  • Show Pools is deselected under the Pools section under event settings.  Find your event settings and check Show Pools.
  • If you are authenticated and can see the pools, but others can't it's because you are authenticated and the owner, therefore making it visible.  Check the previous reason to fix it for other users.

Pool Date, Time, and Location Hidden


If pools date, time, and location are hidden it could be one of the following reasons:
  • Show Schedule is deselected under the event settings.  Find your event settings and check Show Schedule.
  • The schedule Availability Date hasn't been reached under event settings.
  • If you are authenticated and can see the pools, but others can't it's because you are authenticated and the owner, therefore making it visible.  Check the previous two reasons to fix it for other users.
Note: Please wait 1-5 minutes before changes to take effect since there's a small delay on the visibility of the bracket if seen previously hidden.

Pools Not Seeding Correctly


Sometimes the participants in the pools aren't seeded correctly.  Try the following steps below to fix the problem.
  • The pool results are cached for 1-5 minutes. Caching helps load the page faster while it's being hit multiple times per second. Just give it some time to refresh and reload the report to see your update.
  • Pools maybe cached, give it 1-5 minutes to clear to see the new positions.
  • If a team has less wins and is ahead of another team most likely it's because the team with the most wins has a loss or tie making their winning percentage worse.
  • If you modified the tie breaker rule after the results propagated to a bracket re-save a game from that pool play for it to send the correct results to the bracket.

Teams missing during pool creation


If one or more teams are missing during pool creation it could be one of the following reasons:
  • The team isn't in that division.  Be sure to change their division from their team detail page.
  • Team display status isn't fulfilled yet.  Check your event settings under the Teams section to see what the team display status is set too. If a team status doesn't match the team display status they won't be available when creating pools. Either update the team display status, or update the status of the team.
